The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’ wraps filming in Hawaii

Cast and crew wrapped up their final day filming The Hunger Games: Catching Fire yesterday , reports The Examiner . The movie began filming in September in Atlanta, and has spent the last four weeks filming in Hawaii.

Catching Fire is the sequel to this year’s blockbuster hit The Hunger Games, and is the second in a planned four-movie franchise based on Suzanne Collins’ best-selling trilogy.

Actor Sam Claflin, who plays Finnick Odair in the movie, Tweeted earlier, “It’s the last day of filming TheHungerGames #CatchingFire and I’m missing it already. Thank you all for making it an incredible experience.”

Stephanie Leigh Schlund, who plays Cashmere in the movie, also Tweeted about the final day of filming. She wrote, “A wonderful chapter in life has come to a close.What an amazing blessing! My thanks go to God,#D1#Cashmere.Had the BEST time! #CatchingFire.”

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is due in theaters November 22, 2013
